Pretty much, just don't cut your string/thread/floss, put in your fillers, and then tie down with the thread of your choice, fill in all inside loops (with ribbon, tulle, marabou, korker, etc) then trim, seal, and I like to spray so they loops aren't floppy. After it is dry, I add my embellishments to the loops and done

To me, a 40MM french barrette makes about a 3-4" bow, a 50MM french barrette makes about a 4-5" bow, a 60MM french barrette makes about a 5-6" bow, and a 70MM french barrette makes about a 6-7" bow. A alligator clip makes about a 3-4" bow as well.
