Default Re: Polymer Clay

Since I have a jewellery making background I know quite a bit about polymer clay and have dabbled in it a little bit but my hands would get too warm when working and the clay would get too soft.

The traditional way to make them shiny is to actually go through diff grits of sandpaper and then to buff the pieces, this is typically done in bead making. I have used the sculpey glaze and it works fine however I have heard that the glazes can eventually wear off or start to peel. Just a bit of info for everyone. I made a really cute ballerina once for a friends little girls birthday, would have been perfect for a bow centre.

found some pics of some things I have made with polymer clay....
