I found using a votive candle works best for me. One that is inside a holder helps prevent drafts from blowing your flame all around. So don't use a stick candle by a fan, lol! Using a votive makes sense, the taper candle you would have to keep lighting all the time.
Yes, the fan, glad you mentioned that, I have a ceiling fan in my craft room that normally stays on all the time, I'll need to turn that off for sure.
I'm gonna practice tonight, we'll see how I do, I may stop by JoAnn's on the way home and pick up a few remnant or clearance pieces of satin or organza whichever they have the cheapest.
Also is there one of the fabrics, satin, organza, chiffon, that seems to be the easiest to work with?
