Even if they paid $1 per yard I wouldnt take that much off because there is no way I would pay that much for ribbon (if you can find it cheaper), I would tell them if they havent bought the ribbon already I would find it wholesale for them to save them money. I hope that makes sense.
I have had a customer send ribbon for me to make bows before, they were simple bows made with specialty ribbon, I gave her a .50 discount per bow. Because that was the cheapest I was able to find that particular ribbon.
I agree with this response too... I also get ppl who give me specialty ribbon for Easter & Christmas sometimes I use some of my own ribbon.. ( I prolly dont charge enough, but they are good customers who buy a lot through out the year that one or two half off bows a year are ok for me
