use a piece of computer paper on the cutting pad.
so your layers will look like this:
it should help give you cleaner cuts
i also tried a stabilizer and it did nothing! the paper actually works!

I have a sizzix, tried fabric w/stabilizer, and mine frayed too.
I 'think' I read somewhere on here that it might help to put a piece of paper either on one side or both sides of the fabric - you might try that...
