Thanks for the input. Maybe I will try some of each. I really don't want to have to make them, probably why I have always used crochet headbands. I figured that is why people like the regular nylon hose type headbands, since they are pretty stretchy, and soft for babies.

Honestly, I thought I would hate them becuase they would snag too easily - but I ended up loving them. I used them daily with my twins from the time they were born until they started pulling things off their heads. They didn't snag anywhere near as much as I expected - and I liked them because they fit my girls teeny tiny heads well.
