| | Re: making and selling items... when did you know?
I started out by making bows for a church bazaar and after the bazaar I had people from the church as well as community members asking where they could get more. I started selling from a gourmet/wine store near my home and it has grown from there. I cringe to think of the bows I was selling to begin with! They were horrible!! But, everyone has to start somewhere and with time and practice you will improve! I totally agree with testing your products for durability before selling them. I let my 2 yr. old daughter wear and play with every new thing I try to see if it will hold up to my standards before selling it. IMO, if it can't pass the Kyrie test (pulling, chewing, throwing, smashing, etc.) then I won't sell it!
