visit the cricut message board I am on there more then here and just about the same amount of hours I spend at work , I love the expression It really depends on what you are making with it you really can only cut thinner fabric with it no regular felt etc You may want to give it time they are supposedly releasing 100 cartridges this year plus introducing 5 new machines. One is the cricut cake but the other 4 have not been announced yet. Just be prepare it is addicting and can put a strain on the pocketbook if you know what I mean. Also never buy the cartridges full price meaning michaels reg price way to high in terms of the cake cricut you can use the same cartridges but not the same mats the cake blades and mats are only for the cake which is stainless steel the mats are stickey for the regular machine
