On starching you have to find the happy medium. I give mine a good spray. I have baked my twisted boutique bows but only solid colors and had good results. The starching for me is quicker and since I can do both prints, dots, or solids it works great. I use a spray bottle mixed with Sta-Flo starch and water about a 70/30 mixture, 70 starch and 30 water. You'll really need to experiment. Too much starch will cause flaking white stuff. HTH!
