Default Re: fabric and organza "singed" flowers?

I was at Joanns and they had a little display up front (March is National Craft Month) with a bunch of little papers with free tutorials. They had one for a "brooch bouquet necklace" and it has quick instructions for organza flowers, ribbon flowers, and tulle flowers. It even has 2 petal outlines that you can use to cut out your shapes.

Funny thing, I just noticed on the back of it, it says they're not supposed to have this paper out until 3/7/10. ha I wonder how many other stores have it up already.

I think their version of tulle flowers is different. Here's what it says:
"1. Cut a 2 1/2" x 24" piece of tulle for the large flower & a 1 1/2" x 24" piece of tulle for the small flower.
2. For each flower, fold the piece of tulle in half lengthwise. By hand, stitch a row of running stitches 1/4" from the raw edges on the long side. Gently gather the tulle.
3. Fold the short edges to the back and stitch in place. Adjust gathers. Embellish with beads."
