I think the korker box is to prevent korkers from spilling out. Are you using the korker box like this:

If yes, I think there is a way to secure those pieces. Please see figure below. Put something heavy (maybe 2 pieces of wood blocks) on top of the korkers. These will hold the korkers in place.



By the way, I don't think it has to be a wood korker box, The paper box will do the job too.
