Default Ribbon Wristlet Keychains

Okay Ladies, I took a stab at making the keychains. I think I have a new addiction! They are really easy and turned out so well. I had 6 made in under an hour and if I had planned better and kept the same thread loaded on my sewing machine, I could have made them faster. The directions call for 7/8" ribbon, but I did some with 5/8" and I think they look good too.

I had never worked with the ultrabond before. It says to use a low setting, but I had to use a medium setting to get it onto the ribbon and an even warmer setting to bond it to the cotton webbing. You just have to be careful not to scorch the ribbon. The blue flowers were like a paint and I turned the entire thing upsidedown and ironed on the back of the webbing instead of over the ribbon because I was worried about melting the blue flowers and that worked just as well.

When crimping the hardware on, it's best to use a towel between the pliers and metal to avoid scratching it.
