I've used the regular starch (Niagra brand or like) to starch my bows. I starch them before I finish them off the center and before I attach the clip. My large bows, I do starch and then bake very lightly - about 210 degrees for about 15 mins. Just enough to help stiffen the starch. Some of the smaller bows, I just lightly starch and let it dry overnight. Hope this helps some :-)
