I only bake korkers of course, and I starch and bake twisted bows. I don't find it necessary for any other bows. When I make the smaller twisted bows (3" using 7/8") I don't always bake since I use stiffer ribbon such as schiff. If you starch bows with polka dots, be sure not to use too much or you will get white spots.
