Personally, I think sewing is the only way to go when doing korkers. I just do a few at a time instead of trying to push the needle through 30 pieces of ribbon. Before I start sewing, when I do the knot at the end of the thread (a heavy thread!) I make the knot about 3 inches from the end. That way, I can tie the ends of the thread together on the same side when I'm finished stacking them. They come out beautiful and tight every time. Definately toddler proof! HTH
This is exactly what I do too. I use a soft doll needle, which is really long, so that the korkers all fit on there.
