When I first began making bows, I did bake and starch them. I felt they turned out way to hard so I quit doing it. I didn't like that it took the softness away from the bow. I think if you master your boutique fold, starching is really not necessary (except for korkers of course). If you still think you want to try starching, I would advise you to water down your starch just a little. It will make your bow a little softer, but will still hold the form. You can get fabric starch in the glue section of your craft store.
