I am also going to keep a log of the ribbons/embellishments I use as of 8-14. I don't do more than 5 of the same bows so it shouldn't be too hard to id a ribbon from a description on a spreadsheet.
I have my blog on my bow cards, and my business cards (which will go with everypurchase) has my town listed. My blog has a direct link to contact me so I hope this is enough.
From what I understand you'll need that information on your packaging, and it will need to include the date of manufacturing. The date of manufacturing is the part that has me stumped on how to do it and look professional.
