That is a good question. I baked some the other night (7/8 polka dots) and the polka dots faded some. The ribbon was black with white polka dots. I sprayed them first with starch and wondered what I could do to prevent them from fading.
Same thing I was wondering. I baked some awhile back and they faded weird. But I see korkers and stuff made from swiss dot all the time so I know people do it.
