for me personally, i like to use 1/8" grosgrain ribbon to tie off. I use about 30 korkers--for the mini and cut them at 2" lengths after they've cooked and cooled off. after tying it, i'll go around and keep turning and snipping w/ sharp scissors (visualize hedge trimming) and keep doing this until i get my desired ball shape--it works great for me. good luck!
