Thanks! No, unless you REALLY try to pull them, they don't slip. I love the elastic thread. It is kind of like the one they use to hold the shoes together in a shoe department, i.e. Target, Wal-mart. I found something similar to that at Hancock Fabrics. I used to use embroidery thread and I was able to even the korker out like that, but they would slip out eventually. With the elastic, I can't tug on them to give them shape...I have to trim them with scissors.
