I haven't tried it with ribbon yet. With the paper I just kept pushing the center back down. My thought with ribbon was to put a stitch in here and there as I went along, that way I could take it apart if it didn't turn out how I'd like. If I use glue then I wouldn't be able to redo it, kwim? I'm hoping to try one soon, I'll update once I do to let you know how it works.
