Default Question about making a Cheer bow with one side FABRIC & other side RIBBON

I am trying to make a bow using a blue sequined fabric for one side and on the other side I want to use a glitter yellow chevron grosgrain ribbon. I will be either using heat and bond or fabric fuse to attach the sequin fabric to a solid grosgrain ribbon. What I am wondering is will I need to also attach the glitter chevron grosgrain ribbon to a solid piece of grosgrain ribbon to keep that side from being so floppy? I am afraid doing that might make that side way too thick to work with. Do and of you ladies that have made bows like this have any tips that you have found to be useful when making these type of bows? This is the first style cheer bow I have made using a different type of material on each side so I am a little nervous.
Thank you very much in advance for your replies!!!! I hope all of you have a blessed day and happy bowmaking!
