I agree with packing them close so they don't shift in transit. I also have a habit of lining my box in plastic just in case the carrier isn't as careful as mine is. If it's raining when he delivers I always get a bag over my boxes if he has to leave it on the porch.... but that's just my ups guy.. fedex and regular mail I've gotten wet packages.
