Default Re: Stiffening cheer bows...HELP!!

I use regular spray starch on every single bow I make - from boutique hair bows, cheer bows, over the top bows - all of 'em!

Niagra is the best, and it's only like $1.39 at Wal-mart. I've never tried hair spray. I've also read where bow makers starch, then bake. If baking bows, make sure you bake before you glue the center or attach clip(s).

Personally, I've never baked anything except korkers, and my boutique and cheer bows stay stiff and perky with a good coat of starch.

When starching, shake off excess, then lay out to dry on towel in the position you want your loops and tails to lay.

Hope this helps!
