I don't do bottle caps, but I would think a specialty glue for metal or something like E6000 would hold better than hot glue. Hot glue just seems to peel to easily from metal surfaces.
I agree with Wendy. I read on this forum that when attaching an embellishment or bottle cap, E6000 works best! I had a resin embellishment fall off a bow ( I had used hot glue) & when I reattached it, i used E6000. It hasn't came off since. I redid it a month or so ago. My daughter has put that bow thru the ringer, it's her favorite, so I know it works
