Default stiffening spray or something with fragrance?

I make and sell my bows at my childrens consignment store I own and I currently buy my flower heads from a wholesaler and they STINK!!!! Like really bad, almost like a cross between dead fish and a skunk. I'm tired of wasting body splash on them and was wondering if there is something I can use on my flowers to get rid of the smell. I've tried febreze, downy spray, etc and all that mess, but nothing works. I normally just use regular starch on my bows to stiffen them and it gives them a light fragrance, but these flowers need something stronger than that. Any suggestions or ideas? I've even left them for a few days in my sunroom to air out (thinking maybe the smell is from being packed, shipped and stored in a warehouse) but nothing really helps but perfume.
