Nope, no tricks. Lined snap clips stay put in fine hair. The hardware link above shows picture of it. You could also, instead of grosgrain, use Velvet ribbon to line. Ribbon size: same, 3/8.

i've had a problem lining the tiny snap clips - it seems the "snap" goes out of them! maybe i'm using too much glue?

i've reverted to either using snap clip covers (so there's no glue on the s/clip) - or ribbon wrapping them.

i'd really like to go back to lining them w/ribbon = so much faster. when you glue on the bow/korker - do you avoid the middle part where the snap clip bottom pokes thru?
