I prefer ET Lite, it's a two part epoxy, that you have to mix. If you use this, when you mix it, stir, stir, stir and when you think you've stirred enough, stir some more.

I don't put anything behind my bottlecaps when I attach them to a bow, I just make my center knot a little bulkier. I use E6000 around the outside edge, and hot glue in the middle. The hot glue gives it immediate hold, and the E6000 a more permanent bond.
