Default How to Make Simple Bottle Caps - Nothing too fancy

I am slowly building my skills with bottle caps. I admire all the bottlecap makers it truly is an art.

I have found a few simple tricks that really help me as a novice maker. I am not looking to resell these just make them for my own use so I recycle the bottle caps from Izze Sparkling Water (we love the water have you tried it??) The bottles are so cute too I recycle them for flowers.

The bottles are twist top bottle caps and are white with a very small design in the center. Perfect for painting!! I started using an anti-rust, fast drying, smooth finishing spray paint that really works awesome on the metal.

Then I use mod-podge to add the photo and I have had the best luck with lots of DuraClear Varnish brushed on versus spray on clear glaze but I think that is just a personal preference.

I would love to hear your experiences and if you recycle bottle caps or you buy them?
