Hey I've used my own oven for several years now. Polymer clay is NOT toxic. Even burnt clay though it stinks to high heaven, it's no more toxic than burnt bacon. Actually teflon pots are more dangerous.

Many clay artists do use dedicated toaster ovens. Problem with those, they are much harder to evenly heat. There may be hot and cool spots so it's critical you use a good oven thermometer. Or a few of them in different spots.
And when in doubt, you can bake slightly cooler and longer. Or repeatedly. Just don't overheat. Scorched clay stinks and gets brown and ugly. Never good. But you can bake repeatedly no problem.
