I go around the edge lightly first and then singe all underneath the flower, instead of just the edges. I also singe the satin side in just a couple of places. This will pull your satin a different way and adds more texture. Your right, the trick is moving slowly and having a lot of patience, but I love that no 2 ever look the same.
