I'm with them. It looks like they stitched & made a ribbon flower (like this tut.. scroll down til you see the blue ribbon one: http://hopestudios.blogspot.com/2009...-two-ways.html
) but make your ribbon long & a lot more stitches.
As far as the cherry, when I do mine, I take two small pieces of 1/8" or 1/4" ribbon & make a "t" or "x" then glue the ends together to make a "circle" then put a small black ribbon (you can use that fray check on a cut piece) in the middle.
