Default Re: Size 10 tutu

I'm new to this forum (and to tutu making - I made my 1st one for my infant daughter for Halloween & it was definitely a newbie tutu)...after much research I think I have a pretty good idea of what I need to do now to make them look better. I'm trying to make identical tutu dresses for my 8 month old and my 9 yr old DD to have pics made in together. My 9 yr old is a size 10. I measured out 64" (for a 32" length...she's about 54") and her chest is 25" so I reduced the elastic to 20" which may have been too much, but we'll see. I ended up buying 9 yards each of 2 colors and 3.5 yds (which is all they had of the last color I wanted) and I'm hoping to get 2 dresses out of it. I may have to go back for a few more yards of one color. I'm about finished with the actual construction of the tutus and will need to just add details. I hope this helps give you an idea of measurements? Except mine start at the armpit, rather than the waist.
