Oh there are far better people here to answer this question than me But I will say that I enjoy making them. A lot! lol I first started about 2 weeks ago and have made many since then. Try doing a few searches here for tutu ideas and instructions and you'll find a wealth of information (it's where I learned as I'm self-taught). It took quite awhile to compile the info but once I did I couldn't wait to get started

The hints I have are to use your imagination and have FUN! I grab whatever tulle I have around and then start making the tutu. I go back and fill in with various colors that I find and then I smoosh all the strips together. I make sure the waistband is chock full of strips (so that no white is showing). I also like experimenting with different lengths although the longer tutus seem to over-power Christine (she is a tiny toddler).
